Our Tours

Our walking tour offers you a general overview of this magical town. We meet at Park 31st March just between the central kiosk and the ancient city hall. You will be able to recognise our guides because they will be with a very visible pink umbrella and a smile to welcome you.

 

From the meeting point we start to explore different neighbourhoods, each one with its own unique traditions and atmosphere. We will be walking through La Merced, El Carmen, Santa Lucía, Centro Histórico and El Cerrillo neighborhoods, so wear comfortable shoes.

 

During the tour you will learn about the extraction of amber in the region of Chiapas and how to identify a real piece from a fake. During the visit to the Market of Sweets you have the opportunity to sample the local candies made with local ingredients.

 

We conclude the tour at the Market of Santo Domingo where you can peruse the handicrafts and souvenirs and perhaps purchase gifts for friends or relatives.

 

There is no fixed price for this walking tour nevertheless since our guides don't get any support or aid of the government and we suggest a tip of 120 pesos p/p that you can cover at the end of the tour
